Why do you craft?
Have you ever asked yourself why you love creating? Is it solely to get to a finished product, or is it the process which makes you happy? Do you find a sense of peace, and are you able to switch off from the outside world when your hands are busy? Busy hands = quiet minds! In a fast paced, sometimes chaotic world, the ability to stay focused and present, is an invaluable gift to yourself. And passing this on to our kids, fostering a love of creativity and using their imagination - well the importance of this is immeasurable! Art and craft activities for kids, helps not only with the development of fine motor skills, but also with critical thinking, problem solving, curiosity, expressing emotions, building self-esteem, and staying focused.
